RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIF. FEB. 8, 2006- NHRA Funny Car driver Frank Pedregon will be sporting the haute designs of Von Dutch Originals on the sides of his Nitro Flopper this year as part of a multi-year sponsorship and licensing agreement with the trendy hot-rod themed, Los Angeles-based designer. After making the jump to team owner/driver in 2005 and running an abbreviated schedule on the POWERade tour, Pedregon is scheduled to compete at all 23 national events in 2006.

“I couldn’t be more excited to have Von Dutch as a marketing partner. Their culture and lifestyle approach to all of their products fits me and my team perfectly,” Pedregon said.

It seems Pedregon isn't the only perfect fit for Von Dutch jeans and fashion. The elder Pedregon brother will join a stellar who’s who wearing the upscale stylings, including the likes of Halle Berry, Madonna and NBA bad-boy Dennis Rodman, some of whom might join Pedregon at NHRA events throughout the season.

“We really have some cool things planned, including a new apparel trailer and some special events we’ll announce later in the season. These guys have the same passion for life that I do,” he said.

Von Dutch is an American lifestyle clothing company that has quickly become a leading international fashion label with a rock-and-roll attitude rooted in ”Kustom Kulture.” The company markets a wide variety of lifestyle products including clothing, sunglasses, energy drinks, and custom motorcycles. Von Dutch Originals has retail locations throughout the world, including stores in Moscow, London, Tokyo Milan, and Paris.“We are really looking forward to our debut on the NHRA circuit, said Tonny Sorensen, Owner and CEO of Von Dutch Originals. “Our brand has always been about American car culture, so we are certain that this new venture will be a huge success.”

Toyo Tires will also be supporting Pedregon in his quest for a championship in 2006. The tire company joined Frank Pedregon Racing on a limited basis in 2005 and re-signed with the team because of their stellar success. Pedregon brought the Toyo-sponsored Stratus to the finals at the Mac Tools US Nationals in Indianapolis last year.

I learned a lot last year as a team owner, and I'm confident this year I'll be able to capitalize on those lessons. With Von Dutch and Toyo on my team, it's going to be an incredible year,” Pedregon said.

Pedregon will officially introduce the new Von Dutch Stratus February 9-12 at the season opening CARQUEST Winternationals in Pomona, California.
